Recently remodeled, Woodhaven Park covers 6 acres and hosts a play structure, swings, sand lot filled with trucks, fresh green grass and oversize sidewalks. It boasts a covered picnic area, restrooms and an exciting play structure, basketball court, open area to run, rock climbing wall, big slide and more! The park is within walking distance for all of the residents of the Woodhaven and caters well to children of all ages.
Snyder Park consists of a walking paths, tennis and basket ball courts, artificial turf athletic fields for soccer and baseball, sand lot, playgrounds, water park for kids and space to relax. There's bathroom facilities and a huge covered picnic area that's perfect to BBQ or host a fun outdoor parties. Just over a mile away, it’s easily accessible on foot or by way of car from Woodhaven. Oh, and the views from Snyder Park are gorgeous!
Stella Olsen Memorial Park is a Sherwood community park, located to the northern side of Woodhaven is easily accessible by way of lit sidewalks. The park covers nearly 24 acres and is surrounded by trees, a trail system and wetlands. The park hosts an updated children’s playground, sheltered picnic area, restrooms, recreational paths, open areas and a bandstand. Stella Olsen Park is host to some of Sherwood's top events such as Horizon Church's free annual Easter Egg Hunt, as well as Music on the Green every Wednesday in July, and Movies in the Park Friday evenings in August - both of which are free community events! Throughout the year, you can also take in several plays and performances put on by Sherwood's fantastic Arts community.
Open since 2019 is the Sherwood Skate Park which is located at the entrance of the YMCA off of Woodhaven Drive. The Skate Park consists of 13,420 square feet of concrete, lending itself to a mixture of steet and traditional style skateboarding. You'll find ledges, bowls, ramps, banks, rails, art features, viewing areas and picnic tables.
